The euro was slightly firmer against the greenback Thursday morning in New York, fetching 1.3607. Traders await the Labor Department`s reports on weekly jobless claims and first quarter productivity. The ISM is also due to release its report on activity in the service sector in April.
The euro was little changed at .683 against the sterling Thursday morning in New York. Trading took place amid the release of data showing that British services PMI fell in April.
The euro extended to another record high against the yen in Thursday`s early dealing in New York, fetching 163.62 before easing to 163.41 approaching mid-morning. Trade was subdued with Japan on holiday.
