To the other major Asian currencies like the Japanese Yen and the South Korean Won, the Buck lost ground during the session. On the other hand, the US currency strengthened slightly versus the Indian Rupee.
The US currency ticked down versus the Singapore dollar in the late evening hours on Tuesday. At about 8:30 pm ET, the Greenback rebounded some of its losses but the pair lost ground again within about a couple of hours. As of 1:35 am Eastern Time Wednesday, a Greenback fetched 1.5154 Singapore dollars.
Against the Hong Kong dollar, the US currency was uncertain until about 8:45 pm ET Tuesday. The pair traded slightly higher thereafter, but it showed an uncertainty soon after. As of 1:35 am Eastern Time Wednesday, a Buck traded at 7.8190 Hong Kong dollars.
During the evening deals on Tuesday, the US dollar traded in a tight range versus the South Korean Won. The pair made a sharp spike higher at about 8:00 pm ET, but it edged down within a few minutes. At about 9:15 pm ET, the dollar ticked up slightly and then moved sideways. However, around midnight, the pair declined again and as of 1:35 am Eastern Time Wednesday, a dollar was quoted at 923.0000 Won.
The US dollar showed choppy trading against its Indian counterpart on late Tuesday in New York. At about 11:30 pm ET, off 40.6300 the dollar gained momentum to 41.0200 by about 12:45 am ET Wednesday. Soon after, the pair shed a few pips and as of 1:35 am Eastern Time, a dollar collected 40.9300 Rupees.
Much of the late hours on Tuesday, the Greenback held steady versus the Thai Baht. However, the pair made a few advances by about 11:40 pm ET but it held steady again within a few minutes. As of 1:35 am Eastern Time Wednesday, a Greenback was worth 32.6550 Thai Baht.
