Energy Prices Little Changed; Crude Down Slightly, Wednesday, May 09, 2007 9:29:45 AM

Energy prices saw little change early, with crude oil slipping in the early going. Crude dropped a few cents after gaining slightly in its previous session. Heating oil, gasoline and heating oil were all up by less than a cent.

Crude oil slipped slightly in early U.S. trading. Light sweet crude oil for June delivery was down 2 cents to $62.24. Oil gained slightly in a choppy Tuesday session, after falling to a six-week low.

Natural gas was little changed on Wednesday at the start of U.S. trading. Natural gas for June was at $7.638, up less than a cent. Prices slipped to a 10-day low on Tuesday.

Heating oil saw a slight early gain on Wednesday in the U.S. Heating oil for June was up 0.93 cents to $1.8393. Prices were up a t the start but drifted down near their flat-mark.

Gasoline was up very slightly at the start of U.S. trading on Wednesday. RBOB gasoline for June delivery was at $2.205, up less than a cent. Prices have been relatively flat since dropping to a 10-day low on Monday.
