Swiss Currency Varied Against Counterparts On Thursday, Thursday, May 10, 2007 1:29:29 PM

The Swiss franc was mixed against its counterparts in action on Thursday. The currency moved with little economic news from the area.

The Swiss franc fell sharply against the buck in trading on Thursday. The decline brought the currency to a mark of 1.2217 by the mid-afternoon. In general, the Swiss currency is at a monthly low against the dollar.

In trading against the sterling, the Swiss currency saw strength in movement on Thursday. The currency rose to a mark of 2.4156 in the mid-afternoon action. On the whole, the Swiss franc is within a three week range versus the pound.

Versus the euro, the Swiss franc edged up in trading on Thursday. By the mid-afternoon, the Swiss currency had risen to 1.6460. Overall, the franc has moved little over the past week and a half after hitting a multi-year low.

Against the yen, the Swiss currency saw some weakness on Thursday. The franc fell to a mark of 98.29 in the afternoon trading. Generally, the Swiss currency is near a multi-year high against the currency.
