Yen Mostly Weak On Monday Afternoon Against Counterparts, Monday, June 18, 2007 2:46:16 PM

The yen slipped against the pound and euro and saw choppy action versus the dollar on Monday afternoon in New York. The Japanese currency moved with little economic news from the area.

The Japanese currency edged down against the British pound on Monday. By the mid-afternoon, the yen had declined to a mark of 245.10. On the whole, the Japanese currency is at a multi-year low against the pound.

Versus the euro, the Japanese currency saw weakness headed into Monday afternoon action. As trading progressed, the yen fell to a mark of 165.75. In general, the Japanese currency is at a multi-year low against its European counterpart.

Against the dollar, the Japanese currency saw little movement as trading moved on Monday. By the afternoon, the currency had bounced between a high of 123.35 and a low of 123.70. Overall, the Japanese yen is at a multi-year low against the buck.
