Treasury Bonds Edge Higher Again On Monday, Monday, June 18, 2007 4:00:55 PM

Treasury bonds edged higher on Monday, continuing the bargain hunting that marked the end of last week. The move came on uncertain trading, however, as there was no major economic news to fuel the market`s momentum.

Bonds rose at the start of trading, but reversed their early advance during the mid-morning. Buyers stepped back into he market during the mid-day and drove treasuries back into positive territory. Monday`s move pushed yields slightly lower. The yield on the benchmark 10-year treasury slipped 2.9 basis points to close at 5.142%.
