Energy Prices Gain; Crude Up Near $66, Monday, June 11, 2007 2:43:55 PM

Energy prices advanced on Monday in U.S. trading. Crude oil prices briefly climbed over $66 and remained near that mark in afternoon trading. Heating oil and gasoline also gained. Natural gas was down.

Oil prices soared again on Monday in U.S. trading. Light sweet crude for July delivery was at $65.95, up $1.19. It gained after Saudi Arabia told Asian refiners it will curb shipments in July. It got as high as $65.72 after climbing in the mid-morning. Crude fell by nearly $2 on Friday.

Natural gas prices fell on Monday in U.S. trading. Natural gas for July delivery was at $7.625, down 3.8 cents on the session.

Heating oil was up in early U.S. trading on Monday. Heating oil for July was at $1.9296, up 3.08 cents. It fell to a weekly low on Friday.

Gasoline prices climbed on Monday in U.S. trading. RBOB gasoline for July delivery was at $2.148, up 2.09 cents.
